HB 1936: La première manifestation de la Ligue a été de remettre à M. Aristide Briand 52.000 cartes postales lui exprimant la reconnaissance des mères. En juin 1932, de nombreux télégrammes des sections ont été envoyés à Genève pour stimuler l'activité de la Conférence du désarmement, après avoir recueilli, en décembre 1931, près de 90.000 signatures pour le désarmement. HB 1938: The League's first public action was to forward to M. Aristide Briand 52,000 postcards, expressing the gratitude of mothers to him. In June 1932 many telegrams from sections were sent to Geneva to stimulate the work of the Disar- mament Conference, close upon 90,000 signatures for disarmament having already been collected in December 1931. Further demonstrations consist of letters, motions, appeals to the League of Nations and to members of the French Government, etc., from Novem- ber 1935 to July 1936 the French section of the League of Mothers carried on a campaign in France entitled "Mandat des peuples a leurs gouvernements which was endorsed by nearly 4,000,000 French supporters.
