To encourage all advances in the study, construction, upkeep and operation of hydraulic dams by making use of all available information and furthering research work on the subject. Finances

Each country, through its national committee or its delegates, contributes annually a sum proportionate to its population to the funds of the International Commission. This contribution represents a certain number of units, the amount of the unit being fixed by the plenary assembly. General facts

The International Executive Committee held its first meeting in 1929 at Paris. It is proposed to hold the first congress in 1931, probably in Italy.
